Sanity has never featured that highly within the Smith family; in fact some would say that it’s always been somewhat of an afterthought that seldom sees the light of day.
Perhaps then this may go some way to explain the rather foolhardy decision we have taken to pack up our worldly possessions, leave our secure jobs, remove our son from school and head out into the big wide world.
Lao-tzu once said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step and whilst this has proved to be enlightening information he didn’t elaborate further on an expected time of arrival, modes of transportation, visa requirements or inoculations which would have been mighty useful to us about now.
However, ignoring the shortfalls of this great scholar and by using the “winging it” guide to planning & organization we have taken the plunge and are heading east on September 13th 2010 on the misguided adventure of a lifetime.
If you are still reading this then you either have way too much time on your hands (in which case you too should think about doing a trip) or you are related to us (in which case you are probably glad we are going away), either way though we hope that you enjoy the site, we will try our best to keep it up to date and please do take the time to keep in contact.
